The main purpose of development plans is to set up personalized plans for each employee to strengthen his ability to improve performance in his current job as well as to allow him to opt for another position. This functionality is tightly tied with the career and succession planning modules, as we can define development plans to allow an employee to gain the required competencies to continue along his career path.
Define proposed actions to allow employees to acquire the required level of proficiency for a position.
Monitor these proposed actions.
Gather information on whether an employee is qualified to opt for a given position.
Automatically suggest actions to managers that best fit the employee’s circumstances, to for instance include them in an initial training course once registered in the application, in the development plan, etc.
A manager can view the actions in the individual development plan of his employees. He too can create, delete and access the recommendations. Likewise he can follow up and request interviews, see the professional preferences of his employees or request training
The employee can consult the development plan as it is today and view all the pending and completed actions, so long as they are not confidential.
